3 days agoWhat's new in FreeHour 9.6 • Student Discover, rebuilt. Browse students as a wall of faces, tap anyone to open them in story mode, and see who you both know on every suggestion. • Who's Free, rebuilt around your day. Your free time lines up against your friends', split windows merge into one, favourites come first, and you can poke from anywhere someone's shown as free. • Google Calendar, made simple. It's now at the top of Timetable Settings for university students, each subject gets its own colour you can change, and the connected screen shows when it's syncing, when it last synced, and syncs again when you come back to the app. • A fresh look across the app. New Friends, Dashboard, Notifications and Status designs, a glass tab bar, initials instead of blank avatars, and an app icon that works with Dark, Clear and Tinted home screens. • Home screen widgets. On Android, five widgets to match iOS (three of them new), and every widget opens the right screen when tapped. On iOS, Up Next is now readable in Clear and Tinted modes. • Stipend and timetable touches. The weekly budget tells you when it starts before your first stipend, Tasks and Exams have proper empty states, and the timetable's NOW marker and slot form got tidied up. • Fixes you asked for. Friends now see the course and year you're actually on, you can clear your status, older accounts no longer get logged out on open, and Android connection errors on Android 16 phones are gone.
